fnews is a news to mail forwarding utility. The
main idea behind fnews is to use an existing mail
infrastructure to fetch and post news.

QBinNews is a Usenet client for downloading binary files. It features multithreaded download, multipart post joining, automatic parity, automatic rar extraction, automatic file joining, colored header filtering, database update filtering, download history, timed automatic header updates, Web integration with newzleech.com and binsearch.info, NZB support, and a built-in text and image viewer.

Remote HellaNZB GUI is a small GTK+ application to
control your HellaNZB daemon. It's well integrated
into your desktop. In a few clicks, you can manage
your remote (or local) queue: add NZB files from
your computer or from their newzbin.com ID, set
priorities, see the progress of your downloads,
etc. Unlike other similar projects, this one can
truly add NZB files from your computer to your
remote daemon; to do so, it copies them through
SSH. For Remote HellaNZB GUI to work you need a
running HellaNZB daemon; it does not configure it
for you.

pr2nntp is a gateway from RSS to NNTP. It is quite
flexible, easy to use, and easy to maintain.

cg is a semi-automatic newsgroup binary
downloader. It assembles parts based on subject
headers and then offers them in an editor for the
user to choose which files he really wants. It
supports decoding data in the following formats:
uuencode (both single- and multi-posting
binaries), MIME (multipart/mixed, message/partial;
base64, quoted printable, x-uuencode), and yEnc.

newsrc-care is a set of scripts to manage your newsrc file. squish-newsrc safely shrinks extra long article newsrc lines, and rm-saved-newsrc prunes the number of archived copies of your newsrc.

stats generates statistics out of Leafnode's news articles.

DBOX is a free communication package for ISPs. It supports a large number of message formats such as RFC/UUCP, ZConnect, Janus/Janus2, Alphabox, and GSbox. It is designed for large installations and includes a WWW package with an email/HTML gateway, an HTML online shop, support for POP3/IMAP4, and personal homepages with HTTP/FTP upload.
